General situation

A ridge of high pressure will continue to give generally fine weather and light winds today. During the weekend, the ridge is expected to move away eastwards, allowing the weather to gradually turn more unsettled and cooler from the west.

Gibraltar Point to North Foreland

24 hour forecast: Variable 2 or 3, occasionally 4 at first. Smooth. Fog patches. Moderate, occasionally very poor.

Outlook for the following 24 hours: Variable 2 or 3, becoming easterly 4 or 5, then veering southerly later. Smooth, becoming slight. Fog patches at first, thundery showers later. Moderate, occasionally very poor at first.
