BRIGHTLINGSEA HARBOUR FACILITIES
Water Taxi
VHF Channel 68. £2.00 per person each way to all BHC moorings (or 1 BHC Token), £3.50 each way from non-BHC harbour moorings (cash or card only). Children under 16 and pets travel free. The route runs between the harbour moorings and pontoons and the Town or Colne Yacht Club jetties.
Tokens have no cash value and can only be used for water taxi journeys — 10 tokens for £15.00 from the Harbour Office or the Taxi Coxswain. BHC does not accept responsibility to provide a service beyond the last published departure time, though an extended service runs on Bank Holiday weekends.
Fresh Water
Available to visiting boats from the end of the Colne Yacht Club Jetty, and from a tap at the top of the Town Hard.
Electricity
Available in the Marina using a card to load and unload. Cards are available from the Harbour Office — see the electric card video for how to use them.
Fuel
Diesel is available direct to vessels from our Fuel Barge, located adjacent to the Pioneer Sailing Trust at Harkers Yard. Contact the Harbour Office to arrange a delivery and check current prices — 01206 302 200 or VHF Channel 68.
Showers, Toilets and Laundry
Showers and toilets for visitor use are at our facility opposite the Yachtsman, in the alley leading to the Marina. Entry is by a code that changes regularly, available from Harbour staff. Laundry facilities — a coin-operated washer and dryer — are on site there too.
Maintenance Posts
The maintenance posts located on the Town Hard are available for use by both visitors and residents by prior arrangement with the Harbour Office. Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis at the Harbour Office. Sewage Pump Out
A sewage holding tank pump-out system is available for boat users, located adjacent to the Fuel Barge. Arrange use with Harbour staff, or contact the Harbour Office for details.
Waste
Waste facilities are in a secure compound behind the Wreck House, accessed using a unique code available from the Harbour Office or your berth holder fob.
